Govt. not showing interest in implementation of 13th Amendment: Tissa Attanayake

The main opposition UNP today said there is no point in discussing devolving land and police powers to the provinces as the government had not shown an interest in the full implementation of the 13th Amendment.UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake who expressed these sentiments at a news conference said it would be more appropriate to go for a new system of devolution in such a situation.  He said the government should however come up with a clear stand and present a solution to Parliament. Mr. Attanayake said his party is willing to play a role in the process as well by coming up with its suggestions and working jointly on a political solution.

All statements must emphasize the Party's cohesiveness and the Party's political line. No one should criticize the Party, its leadership and office bearers thereby creating dissention in the Party nor make public pronouncements, or act contrary to the decisions of the Working Committee. All should act in accordance with the directions of the Working Committee. All media statements must have prior approval of the General Secretary and Chairman of the Media Committee or persons authorized by the Leader.

පැටව් ගසන ඇමැති මණ්‌ඩලයේ වියදම් පියවීම සඳහා සීනි, පරිප්පු ඇතුළු ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍යවල බදු වැඩි කළ සන්ධාන රජය දැන් නැවතත් ජලය හා විදුලි බිල්පත් වැඩි කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බව එක්‌සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂයේ මහලේකම් තිස්‌ස අත්තනායක මහතා ඊයේ (17 වැනිදා) පැවැති පුවත්පත් සාකච්ඡාවකදී පැවසීය. පොරොන්දු කිසිවක්‌ ඉටු නොකර මෙලෙස බඩු මිල වැඩි කරමින් ජනතාව මත දිගින් දිගටම බර පැටවීම එක්‌සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය තරයේ හෙළා දකින බව හෙතෙම කීය.විපක්‍ෂ නායක කාර්යාලයේදී ඊයේ (17 දා) පැවැති පුවත්පත් සාකච්ඡාවකදී මෙම කරුණු අනාවරණය කළ අත්තනායක මහතා පරිප්පු කිලෝවක්‌ රු. 8 කින්ද, සීනි රු. 5 කින්ද සුදුලූනු රු. 15 කින් ද බදු බර වැඩි කළ බවට චෝදනා කළේය.

එක්‌සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂයේ නියෝජ්‍ය නායක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා කැඳවන ලද රැස්‌වීම් වලට සහභාගි වූ පළාත් සභා හා පළාත් පාලන ආයතනවල මහජන නියෝජිතයන්ට විනය පියවර ගන්නා බවට පක්‍ෂ කිසිදු දැනුම් දීමක්‌ කර නැති බව එම පක්‍ෂයේ මහ ලේකම් තිස්‌ස අත්තනායක මහතා ඊයේ (17 වැනිදා) පැවැති පුවත්පත් සාකච්ඡාවේදී මාධ්‍යවේදියකු නැගූ පැණයකට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් පැවසීය.මාතලේ සහ මහනුවර දී සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා කැඳවන ලද රැස්‌වීම් වලට සහභාගි වූ පළාත් පාලන ආයතන වල මහජන නියෝජිතයන්ට එරෙහිව විනය පරීක්‍ෂණ පැවැත්වීමට පක්‍ෂය තීරණය කර ඇද්දැයි මෙහිදී මාධ්‍යවේදියෙක්‌ ප්‍රශ්න කළ අතර එවැනි කිසිදු තීරණයක්‌ ගැනීමක්‌ හෝ ලිපියක්‌ යෑවීමක්‌ සිදු කර නැති බව හෙතෙම වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.
